They assert that while current shooters like Manu Bhaker benefit from their long tenure, the future of Indian shooting, particularly for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, is at risk without a structured development program. Rana emphasized that the Khelo India model lacks the necessary personalized coaching, which is crucial for athlete development. Both experts criticized the current system, stating that it has produced inadequate results at national and international levels. They propose that the NRAI should regain control of the junior program, even if it retains the Khelo India branding. Rana expressed willingness to collaborate with the national team again, highlighting the need for a strategic overhaul to ensure future successes.
