Charli XCX Withdraws from BRIT Awards Performance

Charli XCX has withdrawn from performing at the 2024 BRIT Awards, despite leading the nominations with five nods. The decision was made due to the added pressure of preparing for her major performance at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 4. Although Charli had been in negotiations to perform at the BRITs for months, she decided that performing at both events felt overwhelming. Former Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall will replace Charli on stage at the BRITs. Charli still plans to attend the BRIT Awards, which will be hosted by Jack Whitehall at London's O2 Arena on March 1. Her nominations include Song of the Year for 'Guess' featuring Billie Eilish, Artist of the Year, Dance Act, Pop Act, and Album of the Year.
