Dr. Shahid Siddique, a senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and owner of Iqra Hospital, was shot dead outside a mosque in Lahore's Valencia Town after Friday prayers. Unidentified gunmen on motorcycles attacked him, firing multiple bullets before fleeing the scene. Witnesses report that Siddique was with his son and driver at the time but they were unharmed. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
