Motherwell Manager Criticizes Red Card Decision

Gordon was initially shown a yellow card for a challenge on Celtic's Adam Idah, but the decision was upgraded to red after a VAR review. Kettlewell argued that the challenge, while it did make contact, lacked reckless intent and should have remained a yellow card. He highlighted that the initial refereeing decision was correct and questioned the reliance on still images that may exaggerate the situation. Gordon's suspension will rule him out of two league matches but he will be eligible for the upcoming League Cup semi-final against Rangers. Kettlewell indicated that the club is considering whether to appeal the decision.
