Investigations Underway for Vandalism at Boston State House, Virginia Carwash
Two separate vandalism incidents are under investigation in Massachusetts and Virginia. In Boston, early Wednesday morning, the Massachusetts State House was vandalized with white paint poured and sprayed on its gate, pillars, and steps; the word "Divest" was spray-painted as well. Police are investigating the incident and have deployed the bomb squad after a suspicious package was reported in Boston Common nearby. In Rockbridge County, Virginia, a man named Jake Kinnear Collins was arrested and charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors after vandalizing and burglarizing the Fairfield Square car wash, including breaking into the equipment room and stealing a money machine. Authorities credit strong investigative work and public support for the arrest and continue to seek information related to both cases. Officials urge anyone with information about either incident to contact the respective police departments.
