The incident occurred in a match that West Indies won by eight wickets, securing the series 2-1. Joseph expressed frustration during one of his overs, leading to a heated argument with Hope, after which he walked off the field in protest. CWI Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe stated that Joseph's conduct did not meet the organization's standards of professionalism. In response, Joseph acknowledged his lapse in judgment and apologized to his teammates and fans. The West Indies will now face England in a five-match Twenty20 series starting Saturday.
