Overland Park Police Release Photo of Assault Suspect

Overland Park police are investigating a sexual assault and theft that occurred early Tuesday morning in a home near West 97th Circle and Reeder Drive. The suspect is described as a clean-shaven man with a stocky build, believed to be in his late twenties to early thirties, and was last seen wearing a black jacket and a black beanie-style cap. The victim, who did not know the attacker, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect and have encouraged anyone with information to contact the Overland Park Police Department or Crime Stoppers. Overland Park Police Chief Doreen Jokerst emphasized the importance of community support in solving the case, stating that such incidents are rare in the area but require urgent attention. Police have also released a photo of the suspect to aid in the investigation.
