Israeli Airstrikes Target Beirut Amid Ceasefire Talks

Israeli airstrikes intensified in Beirut and its southern suburbs on Tuesday, targeting Hezbollah amid ongoing discussions of a U.S.-brokered ceasefire proposal designed to halt over a year of conflict. The strikes included a residential building in central Beirut, with evacuation orders issued for 20 locations in the surrounding areas. Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee confirmed that the attacks aimed to punish Hezbollah right before a potential ceasefire, which was expected to be approved by Israel's security Cabinet later that day.
