This victory marks Tsitsipas' 12th tour-level title, ending a streak of losses in 11 previous ATP 500 finals, and marks his return to the Top 10 in the PIF ATP Rankings. The Greek player had previously lost finals in Dubai to Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in 2019 and 2020. Auger-Aliassime, who has had a strong season with titles in Adelaide and Montpellier, struggled against Tsitsipas' baseline play and was broken multiple times.
