Kelce, Mahomes Open $30M Kansas City Steakhouse
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have launched a new upscale steakhouse in Kansas City called 1587 Prime, named after their jersey numbers, blending their passion for food with their strong partnership off the field. The menu, crafted by Executive Chef Ryan Arnold, features elevated steakhouse classics such as Japanese A5 New York strip, boneless ribeye, steak tartare, togarashi fried chicken, and a 40-ounce Wagyu Tomahawk served tableside, complemented by unique touches like a "Mahomes Ketchup Flight" and decadent sides including smoked gouda twice-baked potatoes. The cocktail menu pays homage to their significant others, featuring drinks like "The Alchemy," named after a Taylor Swift song, and "Queen B," a nod to Brittany Mahomes, alongside cocktails celebrating Mahomes and Kelce themselves. The restaurant, located at 1500 Baltimore Ave. in the Loews Hotel, offers an elegant ambiance with a horseshoe bar, live jazz and house music, panoramic views, and a 40-person private dining room, designed by The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry. The grand opening was held on September 17, coinciding with Mahomes' 30th birthday, with a soft opening attended by celebrities including Kelce's fiancée Taylor Swift, marking a milestone in their venture beyond football. The steakhouse has quickly become a hotspot for fans and notable guests, blending culinary excellence with the duo's Kansas City pride and hospitality.
