16-Year-Old Escondido Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Bear Valley Parkway

A 16-year-old boy from Escondido was killed in a solo motorcycle crash on Easter Sunday morning while riding northbound with another juvenile motorcyclist on Bear Valley Parkway near Canyon Road. The accident occurred when the teen struck the right curb and lost control of his motorcycle. Despite witnesses attempting to provide aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim's identity due to his age, and the condition of the other rider has not been disclosed. Police stated that alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash. Both directions of Bear Valley Parkway were closed for several hours as the investigation continued.
