After nearly 46 years, an arrest has been made in the 1978 double murder of Theresa Marcoux and Mark Harnish in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Timothy Joley, 71, was arrested in Clearwater, Florida, thanks to a latent fingerprint found on the victims' pickup truck that matched his fingerprint from a 2000 taxi license application. Joley, who lived in West Springfield at the time of the murders and was a licensed gun owner, was linked to the crime through an anonymous tip. Both victims were shot with a .38 caliber firearm, and their bodies were moved from the truck to a nearby location. The breakthrough came after the fingerprint was compared to over 70,000 records without a match until recently. Joley is being held without bond and will be extradited to Massachusetts to face murder charges.
