Nuro Raises $203M Series E Funding at $6B Valuation

Nuro, an autonomous driving technology company, has raised a total of $203 million in a Series E funding round, bringing its valuation to $6 billion. The round included investments from Uber, NVIDIA, Baillie Gifford, Icehouse Ventures, Kindred Ventures, and Pledge Ventures, with Uber's investment tied to a deal involving at least 20,000 Lucid Gravity vehicles equipped with Nuro's Level 4 autonomous technology. Nuro has shifted its business model toward licensing its AI-driven autonomous driving system to automotive manufacturers and mobility providers, focusing on commercial partnerships rather than operating its own fleet. The company’s latest compute module is based on the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor platform, and it uses NVIDIA GPUs for data processing and model training, further deepening its collaboration with NVIDIA. Nuro aims to launch robotaxi services in a major U.S. city by late 2026, with prototypes already operating in a closed circuit in Las Vegas. This funding will support scaling its autonomous technology and expanding its commercial partnerships globally.
