City Of Troy, a colt trained by Aidan O'Brien, has been awarded the prestigious Cartier Horse of the Year at the 34th Cartier Racing Awards, following a remarkable season that included victories in the Derby, Coral-Eclipse, and Juddmonte International. This recognition makes him only the third horse to win both the Cartier Two-Year-Old Colt and Horse of the Year titles in consecutive years, following in the footsteps of Frankel. Among the other winners, Charyn was crowned Cartier Older Horse, while Porta Fortuna claimed Cartier Three-Year-Old Filly honors. Additionally, Kyprios was named leading stayer after an unbeaten season, and Bradsell took the champion sprinter title. The awards also recognized leading Irish trainer Jessica Harrington for her recovery from breast cancer.
