Jack Merrill Reveals Encounter with John Wayne Gacy
Actor Jack Merrill, known for his roles in 'Law & Order' and 'Grey’s Anatomy', has disclosed a traumatic encounter with serial killer John Wayne Gacy, who abducted and raped him in 1978. At 19, Merrill accepted a ride from Gacy, who drugged him with amyl nitrite and drove him to his home, where he was handcuffed, restrained with a homemade device, and raped. Gacy, known as 'The Killer Clown', had murdered at least 33 young men and was executed in 1994. Merrill chose to remain silent for years, sharing the ordeal only with close friends, fearing it would define his life. Gacy eventually released Merrill and offered his phone number, which Merrill discarded. Now, Merrill has shared his experience publicly and through a one-man show, reflecting on his survival and resilience.
