Bottas in Talks for Mercedes Reserve Role

Mick Schumacher is set to leave his role as Mercedes' reserve driver at the end of the 2024 season, having served for two years, and will continue racing in the World Endurance Championship with Alpine in 2025. His departure coincides with Mercedes' decision to promote Andrea Kimi Antonelli to a full-time seat following Lewis Hamilton's move to Ferrari. Valtteri Bottas is in talks to return to Mercedes as a reserve driver and is interested in mentoring Antonelli. Bottas, who previously raced for Mercedes and is leaving Sauber, is also considering future opportunities with Cadillac's new F1 team. Meanwhile, Schumacher has been linked with other F1 teams but has yet to secure a full-time seat for 2025.
