Braestone Winter Classic Raises Over $330,000 for Cancer Centre

The fourth annual Braestone Winter Classic took place in Oro-Medonte, featuring a three-on-three pond hockey tournament that raised funds for the Hudson Regional Cancer Centre. Despite challenging weather conditions, participants enjoyed a day filled with hockey, a ceremonial puck drop, and various activities including horse and carriage rides. This year's fundraising goal is $155,000, adding to the over $330,000 raised since the event's inception in 2022. Organizers emphasized the community's support and the nearly full allocation of funds to the cause, thanks to generous sponsors. Volunteers played a crucial role in running the event, ensuring a smooth experience for all involved. The event culminated with a reception featuring food and live music for players and sponsors.
