Pilot Dies in Niagara Falls Plane Crash

Melanie Georger, a 26-year-old aspiring commercial pilot, tragically died in a plane crash near Niagara Falls after releasing skydivers from her single-engine Cessna. The crash occurred on Saturday as Georger was returning to land, crashing on the Niagara Scenic Parkway. Georger, described by her father as being on the cusp of realizing her dream, was the only person on board. Jeffrey Walker, a skydiver who had jumped with Georger just before the crash, expressed his sorrow, questioning why the crash did not happen while he was still in the plane. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident. The skydiving company, Skydive the Falls, has yet to comment.
