Nick Kyrgios is set to make his long-awaited return to competitive tennis at the Brisbane International starting December 29, following a lengthy hiatus due to wrist and knee injuries. The 29-year-old, who has participated in only one ATP Tour match in over two years, expressed excitement about competing again, stating he's feeling the best he has in two years after undergoing surgeries. Before Brisbane, Kyrgios will participate in the World Tennis League exhibition event in Abu Dhabi alongside top players like Iga Swiatek and Daniil Medvedev. He aims to compete at the 2025 Australian Open, having previously reached the Wimbledon final in 2022. Tournament director Cam Pearson noted the significant anticipation surrounding Kyrgios' comeback, citing his past successes in Brisbane. Despite currently being unranked, Kyrgios remains determined to achieve his dream of winning a Grand Slam singles title.
