Ambulance Rolls Over After SUV Collision in Warren, No Serious Injuries

An ambulance carrying a 55-year-old patient and two medics rolled onto its side after being struck by a Jeep Cherokee at the intersection of 11 Mile and Hoover Road in Warren. The ambulance had its emergency lights and sirens activated while traveling north on Hoover Road when the SUV, driven by a 33-year-old woman with her 2-year-old son as a passenger, had a green light traveling west on the service drive and hit the ambulance on its rear passenger side. All occupants of the ambulance were taken to the hospital for evaluation, but no serious injuries were reported. The SUV occupants were checked at the scene and were unharmed. The Warren Police Department’s Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident, and no determination of fault has been made yet. Authorities expressed relief that no serious injuries occurred in the crash.
