Bri Ellis' Grand Slam Sends Arkansas Past Georgia
Arkansas senior Bri Ellis hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning, leading the Razorbacks to a 5-1 victory over Georgia in the second round of the SEC Softball Tournament. Ellis's home run was her program-record 26th of the season, tying the SEC single-season home run record and setting a new school RBI mark with 72. Georgia initially led 1-0 before Courtney Day tied the game with a solo homer in the fifth. Ellis, previously intentionally walked and hit by a pitch, delivered the game-winning blast in her only official at-bat with the bases loaded. Arkansas secured its first SEC Tournament win since 2022 and advanced to face Tennessee in the quarterfinals. The Razorbacks improved their season record to 39-11, continuing a strong run after a challenging start to conference play.
