Dell Technologies Appoints Manish Gupta President Managing Director India

Dell Technologies has appointed Manish Gupta as president and managing director for India, effective immediately, succeeding Alok Ohrie who is stepping down for personal reasons. Gupta, based in Bengaluru, will report to Peter Marrs, president of Asia Pacific Japan & Greater China, and will lead the company's strategic growth initiatives and sales efforts across India. Bringing over 25 years of IT experience, including more than a decade in leadership roles within Dell, Gupta previously managed global alliances, channel engagement, and strategy development for the APJC region. Peter Marrs praised Gupta's technical expertise, market understanding, and leadership as key to driving growth and innovation, while Gupta emphasized the immense opportunities in India for digital transformation and AI-driven progress. Gupta holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Panjab University, and is a Fulbright-Nehru Fellow. His appointment aligns with Dell Technologies' continued focus on empowering customers and communities through technology innovation in India.
