Annual MLK Celebrations Planned for 2025

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., various communities are hosting events to reflect on his legacy and promote unity. The 55th annual MLK Jr. Memorial Breakfast in Boston will feature Angela Davis speaking on the theme 'Freedom Isn’t Free.' Meanwhile, the 'MLK Living the Dream' series in Pittsford aims to address issues of race and diversity in affluent communities. In Kenosha, Kindness Week, beginning on January 15, will celebrate community strengths and compassion through various events, including a Community Unity Breakfast. Lakewood will host its annual MLK celebration on January 11, featuring a Welcome Walk around Waughop Lake to foster connections among participants. These events collectively encourage reflection on progress, community strength, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.
