Avatar Releases New Single, Prepares October Album

Swedish metal band Avatar is set to release their new album, Don't Go In The Forest, on October 31, 2025, through Black Waltz Records. The album features ten tracks, including the newly released single and music video "Tonight We Must Be Warriors," which emphasizes themes of solidarity and perseverance during challenging times. Vocalist Johannes Eckerström highlights the album's importance, stating it explores new concepts and songs born from shared pain and the need for collective strength. The band describes the record as a unique work that could only be created in the present moment, reflecting dark memories and fantasies. Avatar will support the album with a U.S. headlining tour in November 2025, with opening acts Alien Weaponry and Spirit World, and they have plans to support Metallica in 2026. The new material continues the band's evolution following their 2023 success with the album Dance Devil Dance.
