Real Madrid Auctions Lockers from Bernabéu Stadium

Real Madrid is auctioning 24 iconic lockers from its Santiago Bernabéu Stadium dressing room, used by legendary players like Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, and Zinedine Zidane, as part of a renovation project. The auction, held by Sotheby’s in London, opened on November 12 and will run until November 26, with bidding starting at £10,000 (approximately $12,650) per locker. This unique event allows fans and collectors to own a piece of football history, supported by certificates of authenticity and detailed player usage lists. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Real Madrid Foundation, enhancing the auction's charitable aspect. In addition to the lockers, other memorabilia, including a three-meter mosaic of the club crest, is also included in the auction. Sotheby’s Brendan Hawkes noted the significance of offering such historic artifacts, which reflect the growing popularity of sports memorabilia beyond traditional items.
