Shazeb Khalid, a 25-year-old man of Pakistani heritage, has been convicted of murdering Vignesh Pattabhiraman, a 36-year-old Indian restaurant manager, by running him down with a stolen Range Rover on Valentine's Day in Reading, UK. The jury at Reading Crown Court found Khalid guilty after a 28-day trial, revealing a motive linked to a £2,000 contract to intimidate Pattabhiraman, who had allegedly reported illegal employment practices at the restaurant where he worked.
