Meta Expands Sandhya Devanathan's Role to Lead India, Southeast Asia

Alongside this change, Sandhya Devanathan, previously Vice President for Meta India, has had her role expanded to also oversee Southeast Asia, including countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Devanathan has been instrumental in shaping Meta's strategies in India, a key market with over a billion monthly users, and has driven growth in Southeast Asian e-commerce and digital economies. She joined Meta in 2016 and has extensive experience in banking and technology, previously managing Meta's gaming business in the Asia-Pacific region. Devanathan also advocates for gender diversity and inclusion within Meta and the tech industry. This leadership transition reflects Meta's focus on strengthening its presence and innovation efforts across the Asia-Pacific market.
