Harbhajan Singh Prepares India for Women's T20 World Cup

As the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 begins, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has emphasized the need for caution against Australia and Sri Lanka, who are seen as significant threats to India’s quest for their first title. India, grouped with Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, will kick off their campaign against New Zealand on October 4. Harbhajan noted Australia's strong track record, having defeated India 23 out of 32 T20I matches, and highlighted Sri Lanka's recent success over India in the Asia Cup final. Despite these challenges, he expressed confidence in India's blend of youth and experience, particularly praising players like Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Deepti Sharma. He believes that if India maintains good performance, they have the potential to emerge victorious in the tournament. The first India-Australia match is scheduled for October 13.
