Havon Finney Jr., a highly-ranked cornerback from Sierra Canyon High School in California, has committed to play for LSU, reclassifying from the 2027 to the 2026 recruiting class and forgoing his senior year. Finney, ranked among the top cornerbacks nationally and holding offers from over two dozen major programs, chose LSU over finalists USC and Oregon. His commitment makes him the third defensive back in LSU’s 2026 class, which currently ranks among the top recruiting classes in the nation. LSU defensive backs coach Corey Raymond played a pivotal role in recruiting Finney, hosting him for key campus visits and identifying him early as a priority target.
