Nebraska Volleyball Leads US College Spending, Wins Scrimmage Before Sellout Crowd

Nebraska volleyball leads the nation in spending for Fiscal Year 2024, with a budget of nearly $6 million, topping Texas and Wisconsin, reflecting the program's high level of investment following their recent success, including a Big Ten Conference title and an NCAA Championship final appearance. The Huskers hosted a sold-out Red-White scrimmage, where seven freshmen debuted, showcasing promising talent such as Virginia Adriano, Kenna Cogill, and Teraya Sigler, and demonstrating strong team confidence and communication under new coach Dani Busboom Kelly. The scrimmage was closely contested in the first three sets, with the Red team winning before the White team claimed the final set, highlighting an ongoing competitive battle for the starting setter position between freshmen Campbell Flynn and returning starter Bergen Reilly.
