Merrill Steel Plans $32M Osceola Facility Creating 108 Jobs

Merrill Steel has announced plans to build its fourth manufacturing facility in Osceola, Arkansas, marking its first facility in the state. The $32 million investment is expected to create 108 new jobs over the next three years, with construction starting in the fourth quarter of 2025. The new facility will be located at the former Denso Manufacturing Arkansas site and aims to complement Merrill Steel's existing operations by providing a high volume of fabricated and coated structural steel. The company chose Mississippi County due to strong state and local partnerships, access to raw steel, and the region's status as the top steel-producing county in America. Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders and economic development officials highlighted the significance of this development for the state's growing steel industry and its role in driving American industry forward. Hiring for the new facility is expected to begin in spring 2026.
