Burglars Steal £68,000 in Jewels from Newcastle Star Isak's Home

A professional group of burglars targeted Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak's home in April, stealing £68,000 worth of jewelry and up to £10,000 in cash while he was away. The gang, which consisted of three family members from Italy who have since pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary, had previously stolen over £1 million in valuables from other victims in the area. Prosecutor Dan Cordey detailed that Isak discovered the break-in upon returning home, noting an untidy search and forced entry through a glass door. His Audi car was also taken and later found abandoned. The gang arrived in the UK via a ferry from Calais to Dover and utilized a Citroen for their travels and a motorhome as a base. A fourth member, Valentino Nikolov, denies the charges against him.
