Anker Launches ANC Sleep Earbuds with Snore Masking Pre-Orders

Researchers at UHN’s KITE Research Institute have developed an AI-based method to diagnose and differentiate obstructive and central sleep apnea by analyzing breathing sounds recorded during sleep, achieving over 80% accuracy. This non-invasive approach offers a more accessible and affordable alternative to traditional overnight sleep studies, which are costly and intrusive. Meanwhile, Anker has introduced the Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds, featuring active noise cancellation (ANC), snore detection, and sleep tracking, designed to improve sleep quality by masking snoring sounds and reducing external noise by up to 30 decibels. The Sleep A30 earbuds are compact, comfortable for side sleepers, and offer up to nine hours of battery life with ANC, with a total of 45 hours including the charging case. These earbuds also include smart features such as automatic pausing when the user falls asleep, an alarm, and a 'Find My Earbud' function, making them a multifunctional sleep aid and regular earbud. Together, these advancements in sleep technology highlight growing innovation aimed at diagnosing and improving sleep health through AI and wearable devices.
