Dune: Awakening Release Delayed to June 10 for Improvements

Funcom has announced a delay for Dune: Awakening, moving its release date from May 20 to June 10, 2025, with early access for pre-orders starting June 5. The decision stemmed from valuable feedback received during the ongoing closed beta testing, prompting the developers to take additional time to implement improvements for a better gameplay experience. Funcom emphasized that while they understand the excitement surrounding the game, the extra three weeks are crucial for polishing the game ahead of launch. In addition to the delay, a large-scale beta weekend is planned for next month to allow more players to engage with the game and provide feedback. Dune: Awakening combines elements of sandbox survival and multiplayer gameplay, set in the Dune universe, where players can craft items and explore the desert for resources. The game is developed using Unreal Engine 5 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
