Fox Plans Fear Factor Reboot Featuring Joe Rogan

Fox is rebooting the iconic reality competition series Fear Factor under the title Fear Factor: The Next Chapter, featuring contestants living together in a remote, unforgiving location while facing extreme stunts and social strategy challenges. The original series, hosted by Joe Rogan from 2001 to 2006 and briefly revived in 2011, is known for its outrageous and daring challenges, which Rogan has previously described as mindless and regrettable despite the financial benefits. Fox Entertainment President Michael Thorn acknowledged Rogan as a major talent tied to the show but stated it is too early to confirm whether he will return as host, with decisions on showrunners and hosts still in progress. The reboot aims to present a bigger, bolder version of the original, aiming to complement Fox's unscripted lineup with a fresh take on the well-known format. Alongside Fear Factor, Fox is also reviving other game shows such as Weakest Link and a new series hosted by Ken Jeong. The reboot's production involves Endemol Shine North America, and no official premiere date has been announced yet.
