Van Noy Critiques Chiefs' Medical Response

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Noy criticized the Kansas City Chiefs' medical staff for their delayed and 'unprofessional' response to his eye injury during the season opener. Van Noy, who suffered a fractured orbital bone, expressed frustration that it took an entire quarter for an ophthalmologist to attend to him in the locker room. NFLPA executive director Lloyd Howell echoed Van Noy's disappointment, emphasizing that medical treatment should be provided 'as quickly as possible' under the collective bargaining agreement. The Chiefs, who received an 'F' grade for their training staff in NFLPA report cards, had no comment on the matter. The NFL defended the Chiefs' handling of Van Noy's injury, stating that appropriate care was provided. Van Noy remains sidelined and has not practiced since the injury.
