Indian D2C Kids Brand Rabitat Raises INR 40 Cr Series A Funding
Rabitat, an Indian direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand specializing in safe, BPA-free kids' drinkware and foodware, has raised approximately $5 million (INR 40 crore) in a Series A funding round led by RPSG Capital Ventures and DSG Consumer Partners, with participation from several family offices and notable angel investors including founders from The Souled Store, LivSpace, and Cult.fit. Founded by brothers Sumit and Siddharth Suneja, Rabitat offers high-quality, non-toxic products designed for children aged two to eight, and has served over two lakh families to date. The funds will be deployed to deepen partnerships with Indian manufacturers, launch new product lines, enhance design capabilities, expand distribution, and strengthen brand trust among modern Indian parents. Positioned as one of India's fastest-growing parenting essentials brands, Rabitat aims to capitalize on the growing kids' consumer market, valued at around INR 27,000 crore ($3.3 billion), focusing on safety, functionality, and aesthetics to meet the evolving demands of conscious parents. The company recorded revenues of INR 16 crore in the financial year ending March 2024 and sells its products via its own website, e-commerce platforms like Amazon and FirstCry, as well as quick commerce channels. Rabitat emphasizes building a trusted, aspirational brand that addresses the needs of well-informed parents seeking safe and stylish food contact products for their children.
