Delhi Student Group Behind School Bomb Hoaxes

A Class 12 student from a private school in Delhi has been identified as part of a group responsible for sending hoax bomb threat emails to schools, causing widespread panic. The threats were often timed with exams and included ransom demands, claiming explosive devices were planted on school premises. Police investigations revealed that four students used VPNs to conceal their identities and had been sending these threats since May last year, affecting over 250 schools. The students admitted to doing this as a prank to gain attention, and legal actions are being considered while evidence is verified with forensic experts. These incidents have raised concerns about technology misuse by students and the security of educational institutions. In response, Delhi Police have begun training school staff in crisis management to prevent future occurrences.
