Adobe Launches Firefly Mobile App with Advanced AI Image, Video Generation

Adobe has launched its Firefly app on iOS and Android, bringing powerful image and video generative AI capabilities to mobile devices. The app supports Adobe’s own Firefly models as well as third-party models from OpenAI, Google, Flux, Ideogram, Runway, and others, allowing users to create and edit media through text prompts, generative fill, and generative expand features. Firefly integrates with Adobe Creative Cloud, enabling seamless project sync across mobile, web, and desktop platforms. Adobe also updated its collaborative whiteboarding tool, Canvas, to include video generation capabilities using both Adobe’s and competitors’ AI models. Since its inception, Firefly tools have powered the creation of over 24 billion media assets and have contributed to a 30% quarter-over-quarter increase in first-time subscribers. This expansion reflects Adobe’s commitment to enhancing mobile creativity and broadening access to AI-driven content creation.
