A tragic incident occurred during the New York City Marathon when a 24-year-old man fell to his death from a third-story window while watching the race in Williamsburg. The fall happened around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of South 6th Street and Bedford Avenue, close to where marathon runners were passing. Emergency responders found the man unconscious and he was transported to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Authorities do not suspect foul play, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing. The marathon itself drew over 50,000 participants, with Abdi Nageeye and Sheila Chepkirui winning the men's and women's races, respectively. The victim's name has not been released pending family notification.
