Oklahoma Sooners Secure Top Outfielder Finlee Williams for 2027 Softball Class

Oklahoma Sooners softball, led by head coach Patty Gasso, has secured top talent for their 2027 recruiting class, currently ranked No. 1 nationally. Finlee Williams, the No. 1 outfielder and No. 3 overall player in the 2027 class according to Softball America, recently committed to Oklahoma, choosing the Sooners over LSU and Texas Tech. Williams, from Melissa, Texas, has an impressive record, including a .597 batting average and multiple accolades, and plays club ball for Texas Glory, which developed former OU stars. She joins catchers Goose Hutchens and Riley Hilliard, ranked No. 2 and No. 11 nationally respectively, bolstering a strong incoming class. This marks the third consecutive year Oklahoma has landed a top-ranked recruiting class, reflecting the program's consistent excellence. The Sooners are set to begin their fall ball schedule in early October, continuing their preparations for another competitive season.
