Yellowstone Star Neal McDonough Cast as James Stewart’s Father in Biopic Filming in Ireland
Neal McDonough, known for his role as villain Malcolm Beck in the Paramount Network series Yellowstone, has joined the cast of Jimmy, an upcoming biopic about Hollywood legend James Stewart. McDonough will portray Stewart's father, Alexander, a deeply religious businessman, acting alongside KJ Apa who plays Stewart. The film, directed by Aaron Burns and currently filming in West Cork, Ireland, features a star-studded cast including Christopher McDonald, Kara Killmer, Rob Riggle, Jemma Donovan, Jason Alexander, and others. The movie chronicles Stewart's rise to Hollywood fame in the 1940s and his service in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. Meanwhile, the Yellowstone universe continues to expand with Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming spinoff, The Madison, which has added Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer to its cast; the series will explore themes of grief and human connection centered on a New York City family in Montana. Additionally, singer-songwriter Tom Waits stars in Jim Jarmusch's new film Father Mother Sister Brother, a three-chapter movie focusing on family dynamics, where Waits plays the father of Adam Driver's character.
