Esyasoft Acquires Good Energy for £99.4 Million

Good Energy, a UK renewable electricity supplier, has agreed to a £99.4 million takeover by Dubai-based Esyasoft, following extended negotiations that began with an unsolicited offer last October. The revised offer of 490p per share was deemed fair by Good Energy’s board, representing a significant premium over previous closing prices. Good Energy aims to leverage Esyasoft’s financial resources and international presence to accelerate its growth and enhance its sustainable energy offerings. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Good Energy's position in the renewable energy market and facilitate its transition into a comprehensive green Energy-as-a-Service provider. Both companies highlighted their shared vision for a smart, sustainable energy future, which they believe will lead to significant synergies. Good Energy, founded in 1999, has a history of innovation in renewable services, including investments in EV charging solutions.
