Laura Robson Named WTA 500 Tournament Director

Laura Robson, the former British No. 1 and Olympic silver medalist, has been appointed as the Tournament Director for the new WTA 500 event at The Queen's Club in London, marking the return of women's main tour level tennis to the venue after over 50 years. The event is scheduled to begin on June 9, 2025, with Robson expressing her excitement and confidence in the event's potential to be thrilling. Previously, Robson served as the Tournament Director for the Nottingham Open and has been involved in various media roles since her retirement due to injury in 2022. Jamie Murray will continue in his role as Tournament Director for the men's event, which commences a week later. Following Robson's appointment, Amy Hitchinson will take over the Nottingham role, contributing to a significant representation of female tournament directors in LTA grass court events. Hospitality for the women's event is now available, with general admission tickets set to go on sale in early 2025.
