Atlanta Hawks Sign Nikola Djurisic To Three-Year NBA Deal

The Atlanta Hawks have signed Serbian wing Nikola Djurisic, the No. 43 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, to a three-year, $5.95 million contract with the first year guaranteed. Djurisic spent the 2024-25 season developing in the G League with the College Park Skyhawks, where he averaged 10.5 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.1 rebounds but struggled with shooting efficiency, hitting just 17.8% on three-pointers and 37.9% overall. The Hawks converted Djurisic from a draft-and-stash prospect to a full member of their 15-man roster, using the second-round pick exception for a cost-effective deal that carries a low salary cap hit of about $1.27 million for the 2025-26 season. This financial flexibility allows Atlanta to potentially sign additional veteran players without exceeding the luxury tax threshold. Despite the NBA contract, Djurisic may spend much of the upcoming season back in the G League as he continues developing his game and attempts to secure a rotation spot on the Hawks' roster.
