IU Indianapolis Team's Gear Lost in Bus Fire

The IU Indianapolis men's basketball team experienced a distressing incident when their bus caught fire due to a mechanical issue on their return from a game against Northern Kentucky. The fire occurred near Kent, Indiana, about 100 miles from their campus, but fortunately, all players, coaches, and staff evacuated safely without injuries. However, the fire destroyed all the team’s gear and some personal belongings such as phones and wallets. The university arranged for another bus to transport the team back to Indianapolis. The incident follows a 71-67 defeat against Northern Kentucky, adding to a challenging season for the team. The cause of the fire is still being investigated by local authorities.
