Singapore 50 Richest Wealth Rises 23% To $239 Billion in 2025

Singapore's richest tycoons saw their collective wealth surge by over 23% to a record US$239 billion in 2025, boosted by the country's stronger-than-expected economic growth of 4.3% in the first half of the year amid tariff-related export activities. Eduardo Saverin, co-founder of Meta Platforms and a Singapore permanent resident, retained the top spot for the third consecutive year, with his net worth increasing by US$14 billion to US$43 billion, driven by a surge in Meta's shares fueled by AI-enhanced advertising. Real estate magnate Kwek Leng Beng and his family rose to second place with US$14.3 billion, while property brothers Robert and Philip Ng fell to third due to a decline in their wealth linked to the Hong Kong property downturn. The Goh family, heirs of the late paint tycoon Goh Cheng Liang, debuted at fourth place with US$13.1 billion, supported by a nearly 30% rise in Nippon Paint Holdings' shares following a 2024 acquisition. Li Xiting, chairman of Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics, rounded out the top five, despite a slight decrease in net worth to US$13 billion. Additionally, three cofounders of the US-listed internet company Sea saw significant wealth gains after the company's second-quarter earnings jumped over 400%, lifting chairman and CEO Forrest Li six spots to sixth place.
