Ivory Coast Wins AFCON Quarter-Finals against Mali

Hosts Ivory Coast won 2-1 against Mali in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations after fighting back from a goal down with 10 men. Mali led with a 71st-minute goal from Nene Dorgeles, but Ivory Coast equalised through Simon Adingra in the 90th minute. The winning goal was scored by Oumar Diakite during extra time, completing a dramatic comeback for Ivory Coast. However, both Odilon Kossounou and Oumar Diakite were sent off, the latter due to excessive celebrations, and will miss the semi-final against DR Congo.
