Five-Year-Old Critically Injured by Parking Meter
A five-year-old boy is in critical condition after a parking meter fell on him at the Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre in Western Australia on Wednesday. Paramedics responded shortly after 10:30 AM, and he was initially taken to Bunbury Hospital before being flown to Perth Children’s Hospital for further treatment. The City of Bunbury is collaborating with authorities to investigate the circumstances of the incident, with chief executive Alan Ferris expressing deep concern for the child and those affected. The museum will remain closed for the rest of the week to allow for the investigation and to support staff impacted by the event. WorkSafe is also conducting an investigation into the incident. Community members who witnessed the incident provided immediate assistance to the boy.
