Scotland Midfielder Lennon Miller Nears £4.75m Udinese Transfer
Lennon Miller, an 18-year-old Scotland international midfielder from Motherwell, is set to make a record-breaking transfer to Serie A club Udinese for around £4.75 million. Miller, who has earned senior caps for Scotland and captained Motherwell, traveled to Italy for a medical as Udinese outbid rivals such as Bologna, Torino, and others to secure his signature. His move surpasses Motherwell's previous highest sale, reflecting his status as one of Scotland's most promising talents, with his father, former striker Lee Miller, supporting his decision to develop abroad. Miller has not played this season due to the ongoing transfer negotiations and an injury, with Motherwell's manager acknowledging the risk of playing him amid the uncertainty. Udinese, who finished 12th in Serie A last season, are also reportedly interested in adding another Scottish player, Ross McCrorie, to their squad. Miller would join a growing contingent of Scots in Italy, including Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour at Napoli, Che Adams at Torino, and others, highlighting a trend of Scottish talent moving to Italian football.
